Having flown this corridor repeatedly over the years, my strong preference is Lufthansa through Munich rather than Frankfurt whenever schedules allow — Munich's immigration and connection process is noticeably faster, and the short 45-minute Munich–Nuremberg hop on a Lufthansa CityLine regional jet rarely eats into layover buffers the way Frankfurt's sprawling terminals can. If you're arriving into Frankfurt instead, build in at least 90 minutes for the connection during winter months, when de-icing delays are common.
